Local production

Although spirulina originates from distant lands, it flourishes perfectly in our greenhouses in Switzerland, specifically in the Broye region during the summer. MaSpiruline® is made from a natural and non-GMO strain, grown with care and passion and with zero negative environmental impact.

We have taken great care to recreate the ideal conditions of the natural environment spirulina thrives in; this consists of a balanced diet, exposure to natural light and winter rest. This meticulous approach guarantees a high quality production that respects nature and makes MaSpiruline® an exemplary model of environmental sustainability.

Each batch of MaSpiruline is carefully harvested and dried at a low temperature (≤40°C) to preserve its nutritional qualities and ensure optimum absorption and assimilation by our bodies. Each batch under goes in depth analysis by a certified laboratory, ensuring unrivaled traceability and quality.

Spirulina

Spirulina, or Arthrospira platensis, is one of the oldest living organisms on Earth, estimated to be over 3.5 billion years old. This cyanobacteria has played a crucial role in contributing significantly to the production of oxygen on our planet, essential for the emergence and development of life. It has been consumed since ancient times, and its exceptional chemical composition includes virtually every element in existence, making spirulina an incomparable food, recognized for its many health benefits and high nutritional value.

Sustainability: Spirulina is very environmentally friendly as it requires up to 10 times less water and 20 times less surface area than equivalent protein production from cattle while being grown ecologically friendly and without harmful pesticides.

Spirulina also plays an important social role by providing local and sustainable economic opportunities and necessary nutritional benefits to impoverished communities. Spirulina also acts as a carbon sink, absorbing up to 5 times its weight in atmospheric CO2, making it a responsible choice to help combat climate change. Its positive impact on the environment and its nutritional benefits make it an invaluable ally for healthy, sustainable, and socially responsible eating.

Spirulina and health

Spirulina is distinguished by the simplicity of its cell structure, with no cell wall, which allows the body to absorb its many nutrients quickly and efficiently. This cyanobacterium has been hailed by the World Health Organization (WHO) and UNESCO as ‘the best food for humanity in the 21st century’ because of its exceptional nutritional properties. Used in the fight against malnutrition, spirulina plays a crucial role in providing a rich, bioavailable source of essential vitamins, minerals, trace elements, and proteins.

MaSpiruline, « It knows how to handle it ! »

MaSpiruline is produced organically using best-in-class techniques in order to yield a product full of health benefits and no toxic chemicals, fertilizers, antibiotics and hormones, commonly used on cattle.
Whether on a daily basis, as an occasional supplement or according to your specific needs, spirulina consumption can be flexibly adapted to each individual. Its exceptional nutritional properties make it a powerful ally for boosting immunity, supporting vitality and improving overall health.

Consumption

The recommended dose of spirulina is around 3 to 5 grams per day, equivalent to one teaspoon. Active individuals and bodybuilders can increase their intake to up to 10 grams a day during competitions, periods of intensive training, or recovery periods. It is recommended to take spirulina during the day, preferably outside of mealtimes, for optimum assimilation and to benefit fully from its properties.

Our spirulina has a neutral taste and can be ingested directly or added to other foods. For better iron binding, it may be combined with a source of vitamin C, such as lemon juice, lemonade, or orange juice. We recommend making a smoothie and tossing an orange with a spoon of MaSpiruline®. Try it before and after you hit the Gym. Thank us later!

This approach ensures that you get the maximum from spirulina properties, while adapting your intake to your needs and lifestyle.
