Why Choose MaSpiruline?
At MaSpiruline, we cultivate our spirulina with extreme care to preserve all its nutritional richness and natural flavor. Through gentle processes, we produce spirulina with a mild taste and discreet odor, even pleasant for sensitive palates. After harvest, it is carefully rinsed with potable water to remove any residual culture medium, ensuring maximum purity.
Recommended Quantity?
The ideal daily dose of spirulina typically ranges from 3 to 5 g (about one teaspoon).
This amount allows you to benefit from its properties without the risk of overconsumption, as spirulina is a concentrated nutritional supplement.
When to Consume It?
Our spirulina can be taken at any time of the day, either all at once or spread out over multiple doses. It easily integrates into your meals, whether in a salad, cream, or smoothie. It’s up to you to find the time that suits you best according to your routine.
-
In the morning: For an energetic start to the day, spirulina can be taken in the morning, either on an empty stomach or with breakfast. It will provide a natural energy boost to kickstart your day.
-
Before or after physical activity: If you’re exercising, spirulina can be consumed before or after your workout to aid recovery, thanks to its protein and iron content.
-
Between meals: Spirulina can also be taken between meals as an energy snack to maintain a good energy level throughout the day.
How to Consume It?
-
-
In flakes: You can sprinkle spirulina on your salads, smoothies, soups, or add it to hot dishes like pasta, risottos, or cereals. Be sure not to heat it above 50°C to preserve its nutrients.
-
With vitamin C-rich foods: To improve the absorption of the iron it contains, it’s recommended to consume spirulina with foods rich in vitamin C (such as citrus fruits, kiwi, peppers, etc.).
Is MaSpiruline Certified Organic?
Our spirulina is not yet AB (Organic Farming) certified. We are still in search of an organic nitrogen source that complies with organic regulations, is microbiologically reliable, and does not alter the taste or quality of the spirulina. This search is ongoing, and we make progress every season.
Are There Any Contraindications?
As with any naturally concentrated food, spirulina may not be suitable for everyone. Its richness in iron, vitamin K, and proteins requires certain precautions. It is not recommended without medical advice for:
As a precaution, pregnant or breastfeeding women, individuals with health issues, or those taking medication (especially anticoagulants), as well as children under 6 years old, should avoid consuming it without the advice of a healthcare professional.
How Long Should a Spirulina Cure Last?
-
Start gradually: If you are new to consuming spirulina, begin with small doses (around 1 to 2 g per day) and gradually increase the amount to allow your body to adapt.
-
Spirulina can be consumed daily. You can integrate it continuously into your diet, or take it in cures lasting 1 to 3 months, which can be repeated several times per year.
Can Children Take It?
Yes, children from 6 years old can consume spirulina, in amounts appropriate to their weight (approximately 0.3 to 0.7 g of spirulina per 10 kg) and age. As with any nutritional supplement, medical advice is recommended for younger children.
This range takes into account the fact that spirulina is a concentrated nutritional supplement, rich in proteins, vitamins, minerals, and phycocyanin, and that an overdose is neither necessary nor recommended.
